Our Mission
Medicos en Accion is a non-profit society composed of volunteers whose mandate is to provide medical and surgical care to people in developing countries with limited access to care. Medicos en Accion works independant of any political or religous agenda. Our work is focused in Guatemala at the Obras Sociales del Hermano Pedro hospital in Antigua and Serrekunda hospital in The Gambia, a small west African country.

Antigua Summer/Fall 2022 Update
Hola Medicos-en-Accion supporters,
Hola returning and new team members! In just
three short months we will be meeting in Antigua
and after a two year absence, we are very much
looking forward to our return to Hospital
Hermano Pedro and the beautiful (and warm) city
of Antigua.
The attached newsletter will provide information
and links to sites that can help you with trip
planning. If you have any questions or concerns,
please contact us.
In January, we'll be providing more information
about arriving in Guatemala and a mission
schedule.
We are planning for a warm and sunnier
future in Guatemala. Surgical teams are
returning to Antigua and we are very excited
about returning in January
2023 to the much
improved surgical facilities at Hermano
Pedro. For those of you seeking a bit more
adventure, we will also have a team
travelling to San Benito, near Flores, in
November.
Have a look through the newsletter then
click on the application form. Mission
information and the application process is
explained on the first page. If you have any
questions, please send us a note.
On behalf of the board and Guatemala team
leaders, we wish you all the best for 2022!
